William Alroy Suber

William 'Alroy' Suber, 83, resident of 348 Suber Rd. husband of Mary Burdette Suber passed away Friday Sept. 11, 2009 at his home.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC, he was a son of the late William Russell Suber and Willie Below Suber.

He was a World War II United States Army veteran. He retired from the Abbeville City Hydro Plant and was a loyal member of Midway Baptist Church were he also served as a Deacon.

Survivors include his wife Mary Burdette Suber of the home; 3 sons, Steve Suber and his wife Teresa of Simpsonville, SC, Mike Suber and his wife Sylvia and David Suber and his wife Gina both of Abbeville, SC; 2 sisters Sara Beaty and Faye Broome both of Abbeville, SC; 1 brother Max Suber and his wife Thelma of Abbeville, SC; 6 grandchildren Tony Suber, Drew Suber, Melanie Suber, Amy Suber, Kristi Suber and Zach Kilgore; 2 special caregivers Margie Trotter and Tracy Chittwood.

He was preceded in death by 4 sisters Marion Griner, Christine Rhodes, Vollie Wright and Doris Haynes and 2 brothers Nick and Gillis Suber.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday Sept. 13, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev.'s Rayford Simpson and Terry Greer officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the residence 348 Suber Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The body is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence 348 Suber Rd. Abbeville, SC.
