William "Rudy" Turner King

William " Rudy" Turner King, Jr., 61, resident of 2869 Cedar Springs Rd.husband of Wanda Giles King passed away Thursday March 27, 2008 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of William "Pete" Turner King, Sr. and the late Margaret Norris King.

Rudy was a retired conductor with the CSX Railroad with over 40 years of service. He was also a member of Victory Baptist Church. Rudy will be remembered as a devoted husband and and a loving supporter of his entire family.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Giles King of the home; his parents Pete and Ovaline King of Abbeville, SC; 2 sons William Douglas King and Christopher Wade King and his wife Julie all of Greenwood, SC; 2 step-sons Richard C. Stone, Jr. and his wife Alison of Abbeville, SC and Chad E. Stone and his wife Angie of Abbeville, SC; 1 sister Susie K. New and her husband Sanford of Abbeville, SC; 3 step-brothers Wayne, Ronnie and Tommy Gary all of Abbeville, SC.; 9 grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Al New, Ellis New, George Norris, Tim Norris, Billy Norris and Charlie Norris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles McGee, Reggie Griffin, Ronnie Culbreth, Lonnie "Popsicle" Freeman, Billy Morrison, Rev. Wayne Wiggins and Claud Bond.
