William "Bill" Campbell

William "Bill" Campbell, 93, formerly of 936 Sheep Leg Road, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at National Health Care in Clinton.

Born in Abbeville County, he was retired from the Shipping and Receiving Department of Abbeville Mills Milliken Plant. He was also a member of Little Mountain Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are son, Billy Joe Campbell of Abbeville; daughters, Rosa Anna Gable of Donalds, Sylvia Jean Smith and Linda Phillips, both of Honea Path; half-sisters, Rosa Finley of Columbia and Mary Ellen Hall of Ware Shoals; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was the widower of Cara Ashley Campbell and the son of the late William T. "Will" and Anna Rosa Ware Campbell.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday from The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home; burial will follow in Little Mountain Presbyterian Church cemetery. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The family will be at the home of his son, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Campbell, 510 Marshall Ave., Abbeville.

The family suggests memorials be made to Little Mountain Presbyterian Church, 3836 S.C. 28 North, Abbeville, S.C. 29620 or to Southside Baptist Church, 1800 S.C. 178 North, Honea Path, S.C. 29654.
