Wayne Richard Owens

Wayne Richard Owens, Sr., 75, resident of 4594 Old Calhoun Falls Rd. husband of Ruth Jones Owens died Monday Jan. 21, 2008 at Abbeville Area Medical Center.

Born in Henderson Co. NC he was a son of the late Otto and Ola Mae Capps Owens.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Wayne was retired from the lumber business with the Risby-Morrow Lumber Co. in Henderson Co.

Wayne will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Survivors include his wife of the home; 1 son Wayne Richard Owens, Jr. and his wife Judy of the home; 2 grandsons Chad Richard Owens and Dakota Owens both of the home; 2 brothers James and Eddie Owens both of Hendersonville, NC and a sister Pauline Rhodes of Hendersonville, NC.
