Tyrone Brock

Tyrone Brock, 67, resident of Bulls Horne Rd. husband of Kay Bowie Brock passed away Wednesday Jan. 9, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born June 24, 1951 in Anderson County, SC he was a son of Mary Jane Ables Brock and the late Hobert Brock.

He was a native of Honea Path, SC but called Abbeville County his home for the last 30 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Belton-Honea Path High School and spent his career in construction, serving as a mill-wright until his retirement in 2012.

Survivors include; he will be missed by his loving wife of 49 years Kay Bowie Brock of the home; a daughter Tracy Brock Lowe (James), and granddaughter Mary Grace Lowe and his mother Mary Jane Ables Brock. Tyrone will also be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Edwina Bowie Lasal (Gary) and her children, Tara Finch (Niece) and Nicholas Finch (Nephew). In addition, he will forever be remembered by numerous cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his father Hobert Brock and his late brother Eddie Brock.

A Celebration of Tyrone’s life will be conducted Saturday Jan. 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Wilson officiating. The family is at the home 784 Bulls Horne Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 at the funeral home prior to services.
