Thomas "Tom" Miller Bradberry, Sr

Thomas "Tom" Miller Bradberry, Sr., 87, resident of 368 Bulls Horne Rd. Nation Community, husband of Mavolyn Hall Bradberry, passed away Friday Oct. 3, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born May 28, 1927 in Abbeville Co. SC, he was a son of the late W.J. "Moot" Bradberry and Martha Elberta Nelson Bradberry.

Tom was a retired textile employee with Milliken Textiles for over 40 years. Upon his retirement he became a full time farmer working his land and tending to his cows. Tom was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting of all types: deer, rabbit, coon and bird hunting as well as fishing. He was a loyal and faithful member of Midway Baptist Church. Tom had a deep religious faith as he loved his church and his Lord. He was a devoted family man putting his family before everything. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and his many friends. The work of a man's hands will reward him. Proverbs 12:14.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Mavolyn Hall Bradberry of the home; one daughter Sandra B. Hall (Stanley) of Ware Shoals, SC; one son Thomas "Tommy" Bradberry, Jr. (Brenda) of Abbeville, SC; one brother James Bradberry (Linda) of Abbeville, SC and two sisters Betty Pruitt of Abbeville, SC and Carolyn Kay of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren Tony and Dusty Bradberry and Chad and Shea Hall; and special friends and caregivers Billie Faye James and Shana Hall.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday Oct. 5, 2014 at 3:00 PM in Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Hipp officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home 368 Bulls Horne Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at Midway Baptist Church prior to services.
