Theresa Ann Tessener Ethridge

Theresa Ann Tessener Ethridge, 64, a longtime resident of the Abbeville area, was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven on July 6th 2017 in Abbeville, SC.

Theresa was born in Shelby, NC to the late Charlie Tessener and Ginnie Pollard Cain on October 24th, 1952. She went to high school at Greenwood High and graduated in 1971. She worked at Park Seed, Co as a graphic artist from 1977-2003. She loved to read, cross stitch and cook.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ginnie. Theresa Ethridge was a devoted mother who spent her life providing love, support, and guidance for her precious family. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Cherie and her husband Jeremy Scott, of Abbeville and son David Gooch Jr and his wife Ashlee of Aiken, SC. She is also survived by her three grandsons, Taylor and Brandt Scott and Giovanni Gooch. Additional surviving relatives are her brothers Daniel Tessener and Dewey Tessener and their families.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help offset funeral costs or The Alzheimer's Association.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice Care of South Carolina and Abbeville Nursing Home for their support in her final days.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home in Abbeville on Monday July 10th. Visitation will be from 5-6 pm, with a service immediately following. The Reverend Dr. John Keith of Abbeville First Baptist Church will be officiating.
