Tammie Weeks Gates

Tammie Weeks Gates, 66, resident of 112 Vienna St. passed away Monday Sept. 13, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Greenwood, SC she was a daughter of the late Samuel Boyce Weeks and Leta Bell Reece Weeks.

She was a former manager of the Salvation Army Store and a retired homemaker. She was also a member of Rocky River Presbyterian Church. Tammie enjoyed working outside and loved to plant and raise beautiful flowers. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include 1 daughter Laura Dove and her husband Sam of Calhoun Falls, SC; 1 son Albert Gates and his wife Lori Beth of Greenwood, SC; 1 sister Shelby Weeks of Iva, SC; 2 brothers Samuel Weeks of Greenville, SC and Robert L. Weeks of Greenwood, SC; 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Sept. 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Rocky River Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Langdon Erwin officiating. The burial will follow in McCormick City Cemetery. The family is at the home 112 Vienna St. Abbeville, SC.

The body is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Wednesday evening.
