Sloan Pressly Brock

Sloan Pressly Brock, 77, resident of 1860 Keowee Rd. husband of Linda Loftis Brock passed away Friday Nov. 23, 2018 at his home.

Born June 28, 1941 in Anderson Co. SC he was a son of the late Sloan and Cora McClain Brock.

Sloan was retired from United Parcel Service (UPS) with 32 years of service from 1968 until 2000. Prior to working at UPS, he also worked for Guy Motors and Rocky River Mill. He served his country from 1963 until 1985 for 22 years as a Sergeant First Class in the US Army Reserves. He was a lifelong member of Little River Baptist Church. His favorite past times included farming, gardening and raising cattle.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 49 years, are daughters, Melissa Brock Bigby (Woody) of Due West, SC and Kimberly Brock Caldwell of Level Land, SC; five grandchildren, Matthew, Mary Katherine and Madilyn Bigby and Kaitlyn and Andrew Caldwell.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday Nov. 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Little River Baptist Church with the Rev. Garrett Hart officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.
