Sarah Amanda Beaty

Sarah Amanda Beaty, 94, resident of 74 Taylor Lane, went to her heavenly home in her sleep Saturday Dec. 22, 2018, under Hospice Care at her home.

Born April 5, 1924 in Antrevile, SC, she was one of ten children, daughter of the late W. Russell Suber and Willie Below Suber.

Following WWII, and upon graduation from business School in N.C., she was employed as a bookkeeper at The Bank of Abbeville, it was during this time that she met and later married her late husband David Beaty.

She was feisty and brave, a leader and kind caregiver to her family and many others. When not outside working in her flower beds or vegetable garden, she was in her kitchen cooking delicious southern meals.

Survivors include: a brother Max Suber and a sister Faye Broome both of Abbeville, SC; her only son and daughter-in-law Archie and Kim Beaty; three grandsons and two grand daughter-in-laws, and four great grandsons; James and April Beaty (Eli and Luke) of Belton, SC and Jason and Allison Beaty (Rhett and Reid) of Abbeville, SC and Brandon Beaty of Abbeville, SC. A sincere THANK YOU from the family to her loving caregiver Barbie Nance.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday Dec. 24, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Arant officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the home of her son Mr. & Mrs. Archie Beaty 174 Hwy. 28 By-Pass Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 12 noon until 1:00 PM prior to services at the funeral Home.
