Roy James, 85, resident of 129 Edgewood Circle widower of Marion "Boots" Watson James passed peacefully Friday June 16, 2017 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.
He was a son of the late Jesse D. James and Sally Moore James.
Roy worked as a Cloth Room supervisor at Calhoun Falls Mill. He later operated a service station and mechanic shop in Calhoun Falls. He was an accomplished carpenter as well. He was a member of Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness church where he enjoyed playing his guitar and violin. The James family would like to extend a big THANK YOU to Abbeville Health Related Home Care and to the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont.
Survivors include two daughters Gail James of Abbeville, SC and Marlene James Chrisley of Calhoun Falls, SC; a twin brother Troy James of Newery, SC; two grandchildren Steven James and Brian Chrisley; two great-grandchildren Savannah Chrisley and Caleigh Chrisley.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday June 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Larry Hargrove officiating. The family is at the home 129 Edgewood Circle.
The family will receive friends following services at the graveside.
