Robert "Mike" Michael Prince

Robert Michael (Mike) Prince, Sr., 69, resident of 1415 Sharon Church Rd. husband of Tena Hughes Prince passed away peacefully Friday Oct. 25, 2013 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late Robert Stanley Prince and Rebecca Calvert Prince.

Mike retired from CSX Railroad in 2004. Upon retirement Mike enjoyed operating his Double R Ranch and spending time with his cows, his land and his dogs Dancer II and Boots. He also enjoyed his tractors, bailing hay and planting seed. Mike was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a trusted friend to many. He loved his God first, then he loved his family. He was quiet, had a great sense of humor and he loved life. He enjoyed farming and raising his cattle. Mike attended Calhoun Falls Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was a member of the Men's Ministry at the church. He was also an active member in his community having been a member of the Cattlemen's Association and the Wheels of Time Classic Car Club.

Survivors are: his beloved wife Tena Hughes Prince of the home; a son Robert M. (Bob) Prince (Kim) of Abbeville, SC; a daughter Rhonda Napier of Abbeville, SC; four grandchildren that he adored Kolbie Prince, Jordan Prince Turner (Stephen), Kinsley Napier and Sierra Napier; two great-grandchildren Riggons Prince and James Riley Turner.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday Oct. 28, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with Pastor John Ingham officiating. The burial is private for family only. The family is at the home 1415 Sharon Church Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home prior to services.
