Robert Frank Bowie

Robert Frank Bowie, 75, resident of #9 Bowie Trailor Park, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 at his home.

Born in Abbeville, he was a World War II veteran and was an Iron Worker having retired from Local 387 in Atlanta, Ga. with over 30 years service.

Surviving are sister, Frances Gunter of Abbeville; and a brother, Joey Finley of Athens, Ga.

He was the widower of Marie Gunter Bowie and the son of the late Joseph B. and Addie Bonds Bowie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth B. Woodall; and brothers, James Bowie and Ernest Bowie.

Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday from The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home in Abbeville. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, prior to services.

The family will be at the home of his sister, Frances Gunter, 455 Hwy. 20, Abbeville.
