Nancy Hannah Argo Garrett

Nancy Hannah Argo Garrett, 80, formerly of 1803 Abbeville Arms Apartments died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born in Abbeville County, she was retired from the Abbeville Nursing Home. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Jack Woolbright Sunday school class and the Agape Circle.

Surviving are widower, James Eugene "Gene" Garrett of the home; daughters, Nancy Gene Erwin and Kathy Scoggins, both of Abbeville and Eleanor Garrett of Central; son, Buddy Garrett of Greenville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas Belton and Mary Vanna Fowler Argo. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church by the Revs. Darin Hook and Tye Sorrow; burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Family members will be at the home of her daughter, Joe and Kathy Scoggins, 105 Squire St., Abbeville.

The family suggests memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church, Bus Fund, P.O. Box 1007, Abbeville, S.C. 29620.
