Nancy Garrett Erwin

Nancy Gene Garrett Erwin, 77, wife of Mikel “Mike” W. Erwin, Sr., resident of Squire St., entered into rest Monday, February 10, 2025, at Abbeville Rehabilitation.

Born on April 15, 1947, to the late Gene and Nancy Argo Garrett, she graduated from Abbeville High School as well as Piedmont Technical College. She retired from Park Sterling Bank.

She was very active during her life and loved to clog with the Double Step Darlings and was an avid Carolina Gamecock sports fan.

A member of Main Street Methodist Church, she was a choir member all of her life.

Surviving other than her loving husband of 60 years, of the home, are her children, Wayne Erwin (Jane), Jim Erwin (Melanie), and a grandson reared in the home, Lane Erwin, all of Abbeville; her sisters, Kathy Garrett Scoggins (Joe) and Eleanor T. Garrett; her grandchildren, Jesse Erwin, Ethan Erwin, Sydney Sutherland Harrington, and Shana Sutherland Hall, Kristen and Grant; her great grandchildren, Evan, Maisie, Oliver, and Magnolia.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday February 14th at 3:00 PM from Main Street Methodist Church with Rev. Brandon Fulmer officiating. Burial will follow at Long Cane Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7 PM at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel.
