Miyuki Thomas

 Miyuki Shibata Thomas, 97, resident of 127 Charlie Creek Rd. widow of George D. Thomas, Jr. passed away Thursday March 10, 2022 at the home of her daughter.

Born in Aomori, Japan she was a daughter of the late Toshio Shibata and Miya Yokota Shibata.

She was a retired seamstress and a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church.

 Survivors include: a daughter Vivian Warren (Ernest) of Starr, SC; a son Ray Thomas (Teresa) of Iva, SC; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Sylvia Garnto and two sisters Kimie Shibata and Metsuyo Shiratori.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday March 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Smyrna United Methodist Church with the Revs. Richard Powell and Scotty Willoughby officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:00 PM Monday at the church prior to services.
