Mary Frances McCullough Proctor

Frances McCullough Proctor, 64, resident of 1980 Hwy. 71 Abbeville, wife of Larry Wayne Proctor, Sr., passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Anderson Co. SC, she was a daughter of the late Floyd McCullough and Gladys Hughes McCullough.

She was preceded in death by Hellon Woods.

She was a retired textile employee. Frances grew up a member of Smyrna Methodist Church in Lowndesville, SC, and currently attends Grace United Methodist Church. Her membership is still held at Bible Baptist. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her loving grandchildren.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 47 years, Larry Wayne Proctor, Sr. of the home; and three children; daughter, Tena Smith (Casey) of Abbeville, son, Wayne Proctor of Charlotte, NC and daughter, Allison Ramey (Chris) of Abbeville; 4 grandchildren Sydney and Erin Smith as well as Aiden and Ethan Ramey; 1 sister Susan Ashworth and 1 brother Douglas Dunn of Iva, SC; and George Woods of Iva.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev.'s Jason Wilson and Darren Hook officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Saturday prior to services at the church. The burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Lowndesville, SC. Following the burial, family and friends will be at the home of Tena and Casey Smith for a Celebration of the Life of Frances McCullough Proctor. The family is at the home of her daughter Tena and Casey Smith 13 Acorn Hill Dr. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday Oct. 14, 2011 at the home of Tena and Casey Smith 13 Acorn Hill Drive Abbeville, SC.

Active pallbearers will be Rufus "Root" Waters, Benjie Garner, John Proctor, Elijah Proctor, Steve Sutherland and Lee Hughes.

Honorary escort will be Paul Yeargin, Earnest Ray Kitchen and Henry Lynch.
