Mary Grace Cape Campbell, 81, formally of Abbeville, entered into rest Monday April 8, 2024 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
She was born February 25, 1943 in Abbeville to the late James David and Sallie Inez Edwards Cape, she worked in textiles for many years. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother (Memaw) and great grandmother and will be missed by all of them.
She was of the Baptist faith and her passion was listening to Southern Gospel, especially the old hymns, and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Carole Budreau and Rodney Campbell both of Greenwood, Renee Alexander (James) and Wayne Campbell (Beth) all of Abbeville, her grandchildren, Krista Agosto of AL, Justin Campbell (Cayce) of Lancaster, Holly Gosling of Anderson, Matthew Budreau (Lindsey) of Greenwood, and Nickolas Patterson of Abbeville; her great grandchildren, Ben, Jordan, Jase, Bryson, Savanna, Addyson, Ella Catherine, Eliza Jayne, and Roxy. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles Cape, James Cape, and Franklin Cape, as well as a sister, Matril Cadden.
A private family funeral service was conducted Friday April 12, 2024 at the Chandler Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Burden officiating. Burial was at Melrose Cemetery.
