Mary 'Eunice' Beasley Ashley, 67, resident of 434 Old Greenwood Hwy. wife of Leonard Jessie Ashley, Sr. died Wednesday Jan. 4, 2006 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Ware Shoals, SC she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ella Marie Hodges Beasley.
Mrs. Ashley was a retired employee of Abbeville Shirt Plant and Kemet Industries. She was also a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors are: Her husband Leonard Jessie Ashley, Sr. of the home, 1 son Leonard "Jessie" Ashley, Jr. of the home, 2 daughters Patsy Ashley of St. Augustine, Florida and Denise A. Cooper of Abbeville, SC, 2 sisters Janie Bowie of Abbeville, SC and Sarah Fredrick of Coronica, SC, 2 half brothers Calvin Pressley of Hilton Head, SC and Junior Beasley of Honea Path, SC and 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday Jan. 6, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday evening Jan. 5, 2006. The family is at the home of her daughter Mr. & Mrs. Kenny Cooper 296 Old Calhoun Falls Hwy. Abbeville, SC.
