Margaret "Margie" Hizer Betler

Margaret ("Margie", "Margie Girl", "Mama Twink") Ann Hizer Betler, 68, resident of 200 Calvert St. wife of Kenneth Betler, went home to be with her heavenly Father to dwell in the kingdom of heaven on March 26, 2014 at Abbeville Area Medical Center.
Born Margaret Ann Hizer, she was the first daughter of Raymond and Helen Hizer on May 30, 1945 in Blue Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
Margie and Ken were married on May 27, 1987. Their pledge was that there may be ups and there may be downs but they promised to always love ane another. Margie was a Christian and is sure to brighten the stars and the kingdom of Heaven. She was a true lady, and her true loves were God, family and countrymusic. Margie was an accomplished songwriter and singer, homemaker and friend. many will miss her smile, her wit and her charm.
Surviving are her husband; her mother, Helen, of Boca Raton, FL; two sisters, Pattia Chabin of Boca Raton and Shirley Wilson of Abbeville; and one brother, Joe Hizer of Eagle Rock, VA. She is also survived by two stepchildren, Tracy Lynn of Grenada, East Indies and Bret Alan of Coral Gables, FL; and a granddaughter, Ericka Lyon of Manning.
A Celebration of Margie's life will be conducted in her honor at 11:00 AM on April 11, 2014 at The Lutheran Church By The Lake where she was a founding member of the congregation.
