Margaret Riley Addis

Margaret Riley Addis, 84, resident of Abbeville Nursing Home wife of Charles Rodney Addis passed away Jan. 5, 2013 at Hospice House in Greenwood, SC with her loving family by her side.

Born in Buckhead, Georgia she was a daughter of the late Era Ford Riley and James Edward Riley.

Margaret attended Anderson College and was a retired educator with School District 5 in Anderson. She was a charter member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years Charles Rodney Addis of Abbeville, SC; her son Brandt Addis and his wife Beth of Abbeville, SC; 2 grandsons Riley and Will and her great-granddaughter Ramie.

She was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth James.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday Jan. 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Anderson, SC with Rev. Howard Jones officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family is at the home of her son Mr. & Mrs. Brandt Addis 294 Noble Estates Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday afternoon at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church prior to services.

The family request that flowers be omitted and memorials in memory of Margaret may be made to Abiding Savior Lutheran Church 1905 Greenville St. Anderson, SC or to Hospice of the Piedmont 408 West Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.

The family greatly appreciates the wonderful care she received at the Abbeville Nursing Home the 3 years she was there. They would also like to thank Dr. Bob Todd and the nurses and staff at The Hospice House for their compassion and understanding during her stay at The Hospice House.
