M.C. Kelley, 85, of 101 Lemon St. died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at his residence.
Born in Talking Rock, Ga., he was a retired railroad conductor with CSX Railroad. He was a Mason and a member of the Clinton Lodge No. 3 AFM and was also a Shriner. He was a member and former officer of the Brotherhood of Trainmen. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are daughters, Emilie K. Lesesne of Due West and Mildred K. Howard of Columbia; son, Mike Kelley of Palm Bay, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was the widower of Mable Wheeler Kelley and the son of the late Mack Daniel and Anthia Lowe Kelley.
Graveside services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Emilie Lesesne, 226 Main St., Due West.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society chapter of one's choice.
Ramey Funeral Home, Chandler-Jackson Directors, are in charge.
