Lillie Rie Mobley Stamey, 75, resident of 721 Watts Rd., widow of Toney Stamey, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Abbeville Co. SC, she was a daughter of the late Joe Carroll Mobley and Ethel Lee Hutchinson Mobley.
Lillie was a retired textile employee with J.P. Stevens Plant with over 25 years of service. She was a devoted member of Warrenton Presbyterian Church. Lillie will be remembered for her loving and caring demeanor. She will be truly missed by her loving family and her many friends.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Kathy Banks and her husband, Johnny, Lynn Hall and her husband, Eddy, and Carol Hall and her husband, Travis, all of Abbeville, SC; 1 son, Jim Stamey and his companion, Danny Conner, of Fletcher, NC; 2 sisters, Mary Hill of Donalds, SC and Louise Black of Anderson, SC; 1 brother, Robert Mobley of Abbeville, SC; 4 grandchildren, Amanda Banks, Daniel Banks and his wife, Kayla, Krista Holley and Kayla Holley; 1 great-grandchild, Baylor Collins. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Eddie Mobley and Charlie Mobley.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Warrenton Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM in the church Fellowship Hall prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
