Lila Jean Bond Lawton

Lila Jean Bond Lawton, 78, resident of 706 Brooks St. wife of Warren Lawton passed away Tuesday Nov. 4, 2008 at Abbeville Area Medical Center.

Born in Abbeville, SC she was a daughter of the late Carl Bond and the late Helen McCurry Bond Clark.

She was a retired textile winder with Milliken Textiles in Abbeville, SC. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her husband Warren Lawton of the home; 1 brother William Carl Bond of Greenwood, SC; 1 sister Ann Smith of Atlanta, Georgia and a niece Marian Samion of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by a brother Corley Bond.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Nov. 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The body is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday morning before services. The family is at the home 706 Brooks St. Abbeville, SC.
