Laura Ann Fisher

November 20, 1937 — February 12, 2024

Auburn, AL

Laura Ann Fisher, 86, widow of Bobby Ray Fisher, known to her loved ones as Ann, passed away peacefully on 2/11/2024 in Jackson Gap, Alabama. She was a kind-hearted and special lady who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ann was born on November 20, 1937, in Abbeville, SC to the late Frank Milton Major and Lucile Strickland Major. From a young age, it was clear that Ann possessed a nurturing and caring nature that would shape her life in beautiful ways.

As a dedicated homemaker, Ann's greatest joy came from creating a warm and loving environment for her family. She poured her heart and soul into every aspect of being a mother and wife. She found great joy in cooking for her family, creating delicious meals and treats that would rival even the most famous chef. In addition to cooking, she also had a talent for crocheting. Ann always had a love for lighthouses, their beauty and guiding light held a special meaning for her. But her favorite past time was singing with her husband Bobby and daughter Kascie. Their musical talents brought much pleasure and joy to the many groups and audiences they entertained.

Ann's husband of 62 years, Bobby, was the love of her life. Their bond was unbreakable, built on years of love, trust, and mutual respect. Although Bobby preceded Ann in death, their love story will forever be remembered as a testament to true love and companionship.

Ann's children were the absolute pride and joy of her life. Her legacy lives on through her son Anthony Milton Fisher and his wife Melanie of Donalds; her daughters, Cindy Fisher Graff and husband Neil of Auburn, Alabama; Francis Robin Fisher White and husband John Boy of Greenwood; and Kascie Raye Everhart and husband Jason of Piedmont. Ann's legacy will also live on in her grandchildren - Ryan Fisher and wife Leslie; Justin Fisher and wife LeAnn; Ricky Fisher and wife Amanda; Candy Inman; Danae` Chaney and husband Mike; Haylee Fisher; Chelsea Graff Vines and husband Parker; Riley Graff Scott and husband Seth; Landon Collins and Kendyll Everhart. In addition to her children and grandchildren she was also blessed with 24 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husband, Bobby, Ann was also preceded in death by her son Brett Fisher, one brother and two sisters.

Nobody could deny that Ann had a heart full of kindness. She was always there to lend an ear or offer comforting words to anyone in need. Ann had an uncanny ability to make people feel seen and understood - a rare gift that enriched the lives of those around her. Through the ups and downs that come with life's journey, Ann remained a constant source of strength and support.
