Kenneth "Jack" Merritt McNair

Kenneth Merritt â?oeJackâ?? McNair, 64, resident of 612 Cherokee St. widower of Judy Norman McNair passed away Thursday Dec. 2, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Calhoun Falls, SC he was a son of the late Charlie â?oeJakeâ?? McNair and Mary Cleveland McNair.

Ken was a retired Textile employee with WestPoint-Stevens Plant with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was attending Calhoun Falls First Baptist Church. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by his many friends.

Survivors include his son, Merritt McNair and his wife, Frankie, of Abbeville, SC; 1 sister, Bonnie Jordan and her husband, Tommy, of Abbeville, SC; a brother, Jimmy McNair and his wife, Shirley, of Greenwood, SC; 3 grandchildren Kasey, Taylor and Emily McNair.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Wildth â?oeMollyâ?? Moss and Sandra Scott.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 4:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Herman Bradley officiating. The burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. The family is at the home of his sister Mr. & Mrs. Tommy Jordan 55 Deer Run Abbeville, SC.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to services on Saturday.
