Julia Ferguson Price

Julia Eleanor Ferguson Price, 83, resident of Magnolia Drive wife of Tolly H. Price, Jr. passed away peacefully at Quiet Acres Residential Care Friday Jan. 6, 2017.

Born April 24, 1933 in Abbeville, SC she was a daughter of the late James Ferguson and Sara Simpson Ferguson.

She was a retired commercial bookkeeper having worked for a number of years at Dendy Corner. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was also an expert seamstress and loved flower gardening. She was a member of Bells United Methodist Church.
The family would like to express a sincere THANK YOU to the staff of Quiet Acres Residential Care for the excellent care and love shown to mother during her stay.

Survivors include: Her beloved husband of 67 years Tolly H. Price, Jr. of the home; one son Pete Price (Cindy) of Abbeville; three daughters Wanda Stein (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Pat Boyd (Jimmy) of Abbeville, SC and Kathi Price of Columbia, SC; two sisters Sandra Ferguson of Lake Secession and Marilyn Gilmer (Gary) of Due West, SC; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters Frances King and Joyce Ferguson and a brother Jimmy Ferguson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday Jan. 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Lindley officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. The family is at the home of her daughter Mr. & Mrs. Jimmy Boyd 60 Magnolia Drive Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to services.
