Juanita Seawright Ashley Clamp

  Juanita Seawright Ashley Clamp, age 99, of Abbeville, SouthCarolina, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2022, with her daughter Sherry present. Family members were able to visit and make their goodbyes in the days prior to her passing.

  Juanita grew up in Abbeville, attending school in what is now the District Office. She also spent time living in Flordia and Anderson, SC. She worked for a designer and in sales. She enjoyed going to yard sales, racing, making clothing and visiting friends and family. Juanita will be dearly missed and always remembered for her witty personality.

  Juanita was predeceased by her parents, George Gary Seawright and Bessie Ferguson Seawright of Antreville; her brothers Milton (Ruby) Seawright and George C. Seawright, Jr. both of Abbeville; her sister Frances S. McGaha (Homer) of Donalds; her 1st and 3rd husband James Newton Clamp and her 2nd husband Clarence O. Ashley, Jr. She is survived by her daughter Sherry Stone (Bobby); her grandchildren Clif Stone (Kristi) and Stefani Redding (Chris); her great-grandchildren Dayton and Kyle Gnagy; Ruth, William and Grace Redding; many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her special friend Bill Bullock.

  A celebration of life will be held in Juanita's honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Juanita's loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Due West ARP Church in Due West SC on July 23rd at 3:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall downstairs.
