Joy Bolen

Joyce “Joy” Wilkerson Bolen, 75, resident of 9 Hwy. 20 passes away Thursday May 23, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.

She was a daughter of the late J.V. and Joyce Wilkerson.

Joy was a retired Real Estate and Marketing Representative. She also worked several years at the Abbeville Press and Banner newspaper. She was very active in supporting and raising funds for the SC Mental Health Association. Joy was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Survivors include: a son Jayson Bolen (Maria) of Reidsville, NC; a brother John Wilkerson of Pacolet, SC; a sister Beverly Casstevens of Fayetteville, Georgia; and two grandchildren.

A Service for the Burial of the Dead will be conducted Sunday May 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with The Reverend Rilla Holmes officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to services at the funeral home.
