Jimmy Smith

Jimmy Clayton Smith, 71, resident of 900 South Main St. passed away Monday Oct. 25, 2021 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC.


Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late L.C. Smith and Lula Belle Busby Smith.
Jimmy was a retired Finance Manager with First Credit Finance Company. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. He was a member of Main St. United Methodist Church where he ran the sound system for many years.


Survivors include: two sons Adam Smith (Maria) and Clint Smith (Angie) both of Abbeville, SC; a daughter Brooke Smith of Abbeville, SC; a sister Joyce Purdy Clark of Abbeville, SC; two brothers Ronny Smith (Patty) and Jesse Ray Purdy (Dianne) both of McCormick, SC; ten grandchildren.


A graveside service will be conducted Friday Oct. 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM in Long Cane Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Pickens officiating.


The family will receive friends Friday at the gravesite after services.


The family is at the home.
