Jessie "Jake" Carroll Rosser, Jr

Jessie C. Rosser "JC", Jr., 80 , resident of 80 Alexander Drive widower of Mary Jane Alexander Rosser passed away Saturday June 17, 2017 at Richard Campbell VA Home.

Born in Heardmont, Georgia he was a son of the late Jesse Carroll Rosser, Sr. and Lillie Gertrude Shiflet Rosser.

JC was a United States Army veteran. He was a former member of the American Legion Post # 2 in Abbeville. He retired from the SC Dept. of Transportation Maintenance Division Crew. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include three daughters Linda Tiller (Paul), Doris Wilson (Johnny) and Tina Rosser all of Abbeville, SC; two brothers Jackie Rosser and Ronald Rosser both of Calhoun Falls, SC; two sisters Betty Jo Horton (Jennings) of Abbeville, SC and Martha Walker (Kim) of Tignal, Georgia; seven grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren and his beloved dog and best friend Izzy.

He was preceded in death by a son Roger Dale Rosser and two sisters Sara and Carolyn Evans and two brothers Archie and Russell Rosser.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday June 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery 62 Ridge Road Iva, SC with Mr. Frank Jacks officiating. The family is at the home of his daughter Mr. & Mrs. Paul Tiller 61 Alexander Drive Abbeville, SC.
