Jeanette McCurry Thomasson

Marion 'Jeanette' McCurry Thomasson, 85, resident of 108 Acorn Hill Drive widow of James Edward "Screwdriver" Thomasson passed away Saturday Sept. 3, 2016 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont with her loving family by her side.
Born in Abbeville, SC May 18, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Oscar Lottie McCurry and Estelle Lee McCurry.
Jeanette worked for a number of years in textiles with Bloomsburg Mills. She retired from the Abbeville County School District. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She loved spending time with her children and her grandchildren.
Survivors are: three sons Steve Thomasson (Wanda), Larry Thomasson (Rhonda) and Mike Thomasson (Mary Greene) all of Abbeville, SC; a sister Lou Emma Fisher of Honea Path, SC; eight grandchildren Hannah Thomasson, Jacob Thomasson, Kati Bowie, Courtney Seavey, Brooke Thomasson, Beth Thomasson, Allie Thomasson and Ben Thomasson; three great-grandchildren Gracey Thomasson, Aubree Beasley and Kendall Thomasson.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday Sept. 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Hartley officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the home of her son Mr. & Mrs. Steve Thomasson 1477 Rock Hill Rd. Abbeville, SC.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon at the home of her son Mr. & Mrs. Steve Thomasson 1477 Rock Hill Rd. Abbeville, SC.
