Jean Simpson Boyd

December 12, 1930 — September 12, 2010

Claudia "Jean" Simpson Boyd, 79, formerly of 1403 Grenville St. widow of Victor Boyd died Sunday Sept. 12, 2010 at the Earl Hadlow Center in Jacksonville, FL.

Born in Anderson, SC she was a daughter of the late William Harmon Simpson and Myrtle Stewart Simpson.

She was a retired homemaker and was a former member of First Creek Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

Survivors inlcude 1 daughter Nancy West Alberts of Orange Park, FL; 1 son John Wayne Suttles and his wife Teresa of Moreland, Georgia; 1 brother Pat Simpson of Anderson, SC ; 1 sister Annie Ruth McClain of Anderson, SC; grandchildren Shannon Tamara West, Nathaniel Davis Alberts, John Wayne Suttles, Tara Suttles Cassidy, William Luke Suttles and James Amos Suttles; great-grandchildren Emmerick Suttles, Alaina Suttles, Iain Suttles and Lochlen Cassidy.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Sept. 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Chandler Chapel of Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.

The body is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Wednesday morning prior to services.
