James "Pete" A Wilson

July 17, 1926 — September 26, 2013

James A. "Pete" Wilson, 87, resident of 2258 Hwy. 284 Nation Community widower of Mary Ellis Wilson passed away Thursday Sept. 26, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of the late Robert Talmadge Wilson and Ethel Hall Wilson.

Pete was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired construction worker and a farmer. He was a loyal and faithful member of Midway Baptist Church were he served on a number of committees.

Survivors are: a son Rev. Roscoe Wilson (Brenda) of Gray Court, SC; a daughter Hannah Fleming (Roddy) of Donalds, SC; three sisters Helen Mills of Antreville, SC, Bonnie Lou Latham of Iva, SC and Barbara McClain of Level Land, SC; one brother Randolph Wilson of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a son Donald Newton Wilson and a infant grandson Donald Newton Wilson, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Sept. 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Midway Baptist Church with the Revs. Roscoe Wilson and Chad Charles and Terry Greer officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
