James C. "J.C." Pressley, 79, of 733 Old Douglas Mill Road died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, at his home.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from the City of Abbeville. He was a member of The Woodman of The World and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Delores McNeil of Abbeville and Patsy Southard of Moncks Corner; five grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was the widower of Emma Thomas Pressley and the son of the late Charles Lee and Margie Winn Pressley.
Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Revs. Darren Hook and Allen Quarles officiating. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the graveside after services.
