James Price Crawford

James Price Crawford, 90, of Carlisle Nursing Center, Due West, formerly of 1867 S.C. 28 North, widower of Ethel Link Crawford, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at Carlisle Nursing Center.

Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of the late Calvin Winn and Mary Price Crawford. He was a retired mail rural carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, and after retirement he raised cattle and was a farmer. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Surviving is his cousin, Mike Price, who was raised in the home.

Graveside services are at 4 p.m. Sunday at Long Cane Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Price, 200 Oak Knoll Road, Abbeville.
