Hoke Floyd, 75, of 185 Keowee Road died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hart County, he was a son of the late Robert and Clarkie Carter Floyd. He was a textile employee with Milliken Textiles, Abbeville plant, with more than 51 years of service. He was also a member of Mission Baptist Church.
Surviving are widow, Geneva Pickens Floyd of the home; daughters, Ann Taylor of Anderson and Nancy Phillips of Belton; sons, Harold Floyd and Jimmy Floyd, both of Belton, David W. Floyd of Antreville, Tommy Floyd of Anderson and Virgil Floyd of Flowery Branch, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Services are at 3 p.m. Thursday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tony Beauford; burial will follow in South Lawn Garden Cemetery in Anderson County. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
