Herman Sidney Trexler

Herman Sidney Trexler, 97, resident of 536 Hwy. 72 West widower of Tessie Lee Trexler passed away Sunday June 4, 2017 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, SC.

He was born Feb. 18, 1920 in Rowan Co., North Carolina a son of the late Sidney Adopolas Trexler and Lucy Jeanette Trexler.

Herman was a retired Superintendent of a large Construction Company. Herman enjoyed Fishing, Gardening, and Traveling with his late wife Tessie. Herman was also a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Trexler (Vickie) of Abbeville, SC and Jerry Trexler (Jackie) of Ellijay, Georgia; five grandchildren, Jeff Trexler (Abby), Mitchell Trexler (Tina), Austin Douglas, Terri Trexler and Wanda Potter; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday June 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. John Keith officiating with Military Rites. Entombment will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens 7784 Augusta Road Piedmont, SC 29673. The family is at the home 536 Hwy. 72 West Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Saturday afternoon at the funeral home prior to services.
