Franklin "Franky" Tank McCurry, 54, resident of 100 Hamby Court, husband of Judy Long McCurry died Thursday, December 18, 2003, at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.
Born in Abbeville Co., SC, he was a son of Syble Vaughn McCurry and the late Grady C. McCurry.
He was a retired forklift operator with the Harris Plant in Greenwood, SC. He was a mason and a member of the Clinton Lodge #3 AFM where he served as a past Worshipful Master of the lodge. He was a member of the Frances Eugene Harrison Chapter of The Eastern Star where he also served as Past Worthy Patron. He was a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church.
Survivors are: his wife, Judy Long McCurry of the home; daughter, Jessica L. and son-in-law, David M. Fletcher of the home; three brothers, Joe McCurry and sister-in-law, Connie of Abbeville, SC, Bill McCurry and sister-in-law, Anita of Abbeville, SC, and GC McCurry and sister-in-law, Crystal of Abbeville, SC; mother, Syble Vaughn McCurry of Abbeville, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 2:00PM from Crossroads Fellowship Church with the Rev. James W. Welch officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery, Abbeville, SC with Masonic Rites.
The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville, SC where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM Friday evening. The family is at the home of his mother, Mrs. Syble McCurry, 601 N. Main St., Abbeville, SC.
