Francis McNeill "Bugs" Ware, 81, resident of 308 Magazine St. passed away Saturday June 23, 2018 at his home.
Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late Willie James Ware and Elizabeth McNeill Ware.
Bugs was a graduate of Abbeville High School class of 1955. He remained very close to his classmates as they had breakfast together every 3rdSaturday of the month. Bugs was a retired Supervisor with the Abbeville Milliken Plant with over 40 years of service. He had a very deep religious conviction as he was a member of Main St. United Methodist Church for over 70 years. Bugs was an avid sports fan and dearly loved watching and pulling for his beloved Clemson Tigers. He dearly loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be truly missed by his loving family and his many friends.
The Ware family would like to extend a big THANK YOU to Abbeville Health Related Home Care, Self Regional Cancer Center and to Abbeville Family Medicine for the love and care their father received. Bugs' special friend Kyle Lortie did many hours of work around Bugs' home as a part of his Eagle Scout Badge project.
Survivors include: two daughters Marie South (Tom) of Abbeville, SC and Leighann Mattison (Brian) Of Belton, SC; a son Robert Ware (Lori) of Abbeville, SC; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; special friend and his ex wife Joyce Ware; special friends Shelia Ware LaGreca, Lindsey Bowen, Drayton Findley, Lucy Bowen and the Brian and Sheri Foster family.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Bobby and Billy Ware.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday June 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Main St. United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Arant and Dr. Wilma Reeves Phillips officiating. The burial will follow in Sharon United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 until 3:00 PM in the Greene Center at Main St. United Methodist Church.
