Frances Lucille Young

  Frances Lucille Major Young, 88, resident 308 Old Douglas Mill Rd. widow of Robert “Bobby” Young passed away Monday Nov. 28, 2022 at her home.

  Born in Anderson, SC she was a daughter of the late Frank J. Major and Gladys Lucille Strickland Major.

  She was a retired Textile Inspector with Abbeville Mills and a member of New Life Worship Center in Abbeville, SC.

  Survivors include: a son Charles Mauldin Boswell (Peggy) of Due West, SC; a daughter Gladys Dianne Evans of Abbeville, SC; a sister Anne Fisher of Abbeville, SC; three grandchildren Robert Stacey Young of the home; Crystal L. Evans of Abbeville, SC and Brett Wayne Evans of Abbeville, SC; five great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be conducted Friday Dec. 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM in The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marion Argo officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

  The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to services.
