Anna Goff Simpson, 94, of 2101 Old Calhoun Falls Road died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
Born in Callison, she was a retired textile employee with Abbeville Mills and was a member of the Warrenton Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the Circle No. 1 of the church.
Surviving are daughters, Alice S. Seawright and Doris Smith, both of Abbeville, and Thelma Young and Bobbie Proctor, both of Greenwood; sons, James M. Simpson Jr. and Richard A. Simpson, both of Abbeville; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of James Monroe Simpson Sr. and the daughter of the late Thomas Belton and Fannie Elizabeth Corley Goff.
Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Warrenton Presbyterian Church by the Revs. Thad Ellett and Earl Hartley; burial will be in Long Cane Cemetery, Abbeville. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Warrenton Presbyterian Church.
The family will be at the home of her son, Richard A. Simpson, 2101 Old Calhoun Falls Road, Abbeville.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Magnolia Manor, Activities Department, 1415 Parkway, Greenwood, S.C., or to McCormick Health Care, Holiday Road, c/o Activities Department, McCormick, S.C. 29325.
Ramey Funeral Home, Saluda, is in charge of arrangements.
