Evelyn Norton Mundy

Evelyn Norton Mundy, 70, resident of 480 Old Vienna Rd., widow of John Albert Mundy, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville, SC, she was a daughter of the late George C. Norton and Carolyn Hutchison Norton.

She was a retired employee of Bi-Lo Inc. with over 45 years of service. She was also a member of Warrenton Presbyterian Church. Evelyn will be sorely missed by her loving family and her many friends.

Survivors include 1 son Robert C. "Bob" Mundy and his wife, Ina, of Abbeville, SC; 2 daughters Rennie McCurry and companion, James Chapman, of Calhoun Falls, SC and Natasha Saylors and her husband Bruce of Abbeville, SC; 1 brother George C. Norton, Jr. of Calhoun Falls and 1 sister Judy Norton Woodall of Calhoun Falls, SC; 5 grandchildren Jamie Bannister, A.J. Gary, Magen Saylors, Chandler Saylors and John William Saylors; 2 great-grandchildren John Dalton Bannister and Falyn Dowell.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Jo Norton.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday Oct. 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Ed Kirkpatrick officiating. The family is at the home of her daughter Natasha and Bruce Saylors 502 Old Vienna Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.
