Essie Lorraine Minor Edwards

Essie 'Lorraine' Edwards, 90, resident of 502 E. Greenwood St. widow of Jack Edwards, Sr. died Tuesday Sept. 19, 2006 at the home of her daughter Myra Williamson 311 Lakeshore Drive Greenwood, SC.

Born in Hartwell, GA she was a daughter of the late James Hiriam and Nancy Jane Foster Minor.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall Abbeville, SC.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Betty E. Ashley and her husband Robert of Abbeville, SC, Myra Williamson and her husband Wilbur of Greenwood, SC, 1 son Jack Edwards, Jr. and his wife Ruth of Hammond, LA, 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 4 brothers Joe Berry Minor, Paul Minor, S.J. Minoe and Leo Minor, 2 sisters Ellie Stamey and Covin Stamey.

The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Ashley 502 E. Greenwood St. Abbeville, SC.

The family wishes to omit flowers and make memorials to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, Hospice House 408 West Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
