Ernest Hall Norris

Ernest Hall Norris, 85, resident of 1974 Cedar Springs Rd. widower of Elizabeth "Lib" McKee Norris died Wednesday Aug. 15, 2007 at his home.

Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late Jessie Edgar and Sudie Perry Norris.

Hall was a US Army veteran having served in the 70th Anti-Aircraft Battery during World War II. He was a retired fixer with Bloomsburg Mills in Abbeville, SC. Upon retirement Hall worked as the owner & operator of Norris Small Engine Repair. He was also a member of Abbeville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his 5 daughters Nedra Tiller and her husband Harry of Aiken, SC; Melva Kay and her husband Johnny of Abbeville, SC; Erna Creswell and her husband Steve of Aiken, SC; Rene' Ellis and her husband Stevie of Abbeville, SC; and DeRhonda Henderson and her husband Danny of Abbeville, SC; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Aug. 18, 2007 at 10:00 AM at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.'s Reiny Koschel and Ray Massey officiating. The burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. The family is at the home 1974 Cedar Springs Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will recieve friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening.
