Erline Grant Griffin

Erline Grant Griffin, 79, of 149 Highway. 72 died Monday, May 5, 2003, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a retired textile employee with Abbeville Mills. She was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are widower, Asa Griffin Sr. of the home; sons, Asa R. "Reggie" Griffin Jr. and E.M. "Mike" Griffin, both of Abbeville; stepmother, Annie Hellems Grant of Cranerton, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Beulah Hamby Grant.

Services are at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church by the Rev. Darin Hook and David Templeton; burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family received friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home.

The family suggests memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church Van Fund, 100 E. Greenwood St., Abbeville, S.C. 29620.
