Emily "Sweetie" Williams Horne

Emily Williams Horne, 68, of 193 S.C. 72 West died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at her home.

Born in Edgefield, Colo., she was a homemaker and a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Samuel Scurry Horne Sr. of the home; sons, Gary A., Samuel S. Jr., Greg, Adam, and Jeff Horne, all of Abbeville; brothers, Bobby Williams of Greenwood, Patty and Skip Williams, both of Dublin, Ga.; sisters, Lois Hardin and Carrie Morse, both of Greenwood; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was a daughter of the late Tom Patterson and Ethel Griffis Williams. She was preceded in death by brothers, Edwin, Howard, and J.C. Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Lebanon Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Arnold Johnson and Mark Horne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church before services. The family is at the home. Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville, is in charge of arrangements.
