Elizabeth McNeill Ware, 94, of 308 Magazine St., died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at her residence.
Born in Sharon Community, Abbeville County, she was a retired clerk from Abbeville Drugs, and a Good Day Caller with Abbeville County Memorial Hospital. She was a director of Main Street United Methodist Church Prayer Chain, and was a very active member of the church, where she was the leader of Circle #1.
Surviving are sons, Robert E. Ware and Francis "Buggs" Ware, both of Abbeville, and Billy Ware of Appling, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of W.J. Ware Sr. and the daughter of the late Robert Pierce and Ada Penney McNeill.
Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Main Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bob Clemmons; interment will follow in Sharon United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the church sanctuary. At other times the family will be at the home.
