Elizabeth Bart Gorczyca

Clara Elizabeth Bart Gorczyca, 90, widow of Anthony E. Gorczyca passed away April 2, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in East Orange, NJ she was a daughter of the late Blasius Siegfried Bart and Clara Weiniger Bart.

Elizabeth was a Graduate of Penn Hall Prep School in Cambridge, MA and earned her BFA Degree from Beaver College in Arcadia, PA in 1948. She loved doing crafting and knitting. Upon her retirement she and her husband moved to Orleans Cape Code. She enjoyed living in Cape Cod where she became very active in the Historical Society, Hospital Auxiliary, PEO, Church of the Holy Spirit in Orleans and the Kimball Guild at CHS.

Survivors include two daughters Claire Thrower of Abbeville, SC and Margi Gorczyca of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Betsy Gorczyca.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
