Dr. Robert Nolan Crowe

Dr. Robert Nolan Crowe, 83, resident of 1751 Old Douglas Mill Rd. husband of Nora Crowe passed away peacefully Thursday Nov. 14, 2019 at his home.

Born in Danielville, Georgia he was a son of the late James Robert Crowe and Nola Duncan Crowe.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and retired with over 23 years of service. He received his Doctorate of Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 1982. He spent over 10 years practicing at Self Memorial Hospital. He was an active member of Abbeville First Baptist Church. He was very active with the Campers on Missions Program as he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. He wanted to be remembered for Remember the Good and Forgive the Bad in people.

Survivors include: His beloved wife for over 60 years Nora Waters Crowe of the home: three sons David Crowe (Margarite) of Omaha, Nebraska, Kevin Guy Crowe ( Shandell) of Swedboro, NJ and William Gate Crowe (Michelle) of Hodges, SC; three daughters Kimberly Halcomb (Howard) of Graniteville, SC, Eva Steen (Joe) of Greenwood, SC and Kathy Black of Easley, SC; two brothers Ray Crowe (Bonnie) of Greenwood, SC and Richard Crowe (Dixie) of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters Mary Whitt (Roy) of Greenwood, SC and Shirley McElrath of Conastee, SC; twenty five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Willie Ruth Barbee and Betty Bennett and one brother Charles Crowe.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday Nov. 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Abbeville First Baptist Church Family Life Center with Dr. Allen Kolb and Mr. Tripp Speer officiating. The burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. The family is at the home.

The family will receive friends on Monday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.
